BATLAB CNR ITAE is a multidisciplinary research lab in which innovative and SoA electrochemical storage technologies are investigated by physico-chemical and engineering approaches.

The Bat-Lab infrastructure at SINTEF Industry covers the value chain of battery manufacturing from materials synthesis to pouch cell assembly, including electrochemical characterization and long-term testing.

The facilities offered by AIT battery research, enable scientists and engineers to bring novel technologies in the battery field from laboratory environments towards industrial realisation. This includes material research for improved manufacturability and demonstration at pilot scale level.

The testing rig for thermal energy storage and hybrid chillers/heat pump is located in CENTROPROVE and was designed to supply the power and temperature levels needed for the operation of low temperature thermal energy storage systems and generally thermally-operated systems.

The CheMaMSE Laboratories allow to carry out activities over the entire value chain associated with the R&D of electrochemical energy conversion and storage devices (e.g., secondary batteries, fuel cells, redox flow batteries).
